flavor profile:
spicy  |  sour  |  sweet

  • ½ oz Kazaam! Pineapple Elixir
  • 1 ½ oz Bourbon
  • ¾ oz Cayenne Shrub
  • ½ oz Lemon Juice
  • 1 Egg White
  • ¾ oz Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur
  • ¼ oz Raw Sugar Syrup

Cayenne Pepper Shrub:

  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp cayenne pepper powder
  • 2 tsp sherry vinegar
  • Add the Lemon juice, egg white, raw sugar syrup, and Cayenne Shrub to a mixing tin
  • Shake for thirty seconds
  • Add ice, Bourbon, Pineapple Elixir, and Chile Liqueur
  • Shake again, and strain into a coupe glass

Cayenne Pepper Shrub:

  • Add everything to a pot, and bring it up to a boil
  • Reduce it to a simmer, and allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes
  • Remove from heat, and allow to cool at room temperature for thirty minutes to an hour
  • Strain through a chinois strainer or cheesecloth, and refrigerate
